Antonio provided amazing service! Friendly & helpful. It was a friend‘s birthday, and the food and ambience were great. Loved the paella with lobster, and other people liked the lamb and salmon. The desserts were also great. Will come back!
Stalin was our server tonight, and he was great! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, and even packed up our leftovers for us. We really appreciated the excellent hospitality and will definitely be back!
We came on a Friday and they had live jazz which was not intrusive and added to the lively atmosphere. I love paella, but recently developed a crustacean allergy. Our waiter Antonio explained to the kitchen and they made a paella without a base that included shrimp. It was great to get to have one of my favorite foods without worrying about a reaction. The rest of our meal was great as well, but I will be back for the paella and the service.
We had such a wonderful experience at Sonora! The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. We came in with three young children, and every single server was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. One especially sweet waitress even held my baby and helped me find a private space to change her since there wasn’t a changing table. On top of the exceptional service, the food was absolutely excellent. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both top-tier food and genuine hospitality, but Sonora does exactly that. We will definitely be returning and recommending Sonora to everyone. A truly family-friendly gem with fantastic food!
The restaurant is very lively. There's indoor and outdoor sitting. We sat outside and it was perfect. Our waitress was tremendous - she gave us time to order and made suggestions. The food was delicious, Everything was just right. Will be coming back for sure!
Our experience at Sonora was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers, to the main course, to dessert, everything was exquisite. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the sauces that accompanied each plate were incredibly delicious and complemented the flavors perfectly. The flavors throughout the meal were very well balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The sangria was also outstanding, flavorful, refreshing, and with the perfect balance of alcohol. The service made the experience even more special. Everyone was warm, attentive, and welcoming. A special thank you to the chef, our server Antonio and the entire staff for making us feel right at home. We truly enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning.
Really appreciated to fusion food from this restaurant. The tapas style of the dishes is great to be able to try a little bit of everything without getting too full at once. There were many different types of dishes completely different from each other, but equally as delicious. Having the guacamole served in a molcajete was a very nice touch that stood out to me. The drinks were also great, they had many options for different palates. The staff was very attentive, they were very perceptive to empty drinks and ensured to create a positive atmosphere as we dined. They had amazing live music that created a comfortable and enjoyable environment.
My husband and I went here on a side quest on our way up to Stamford and WOW! First, the service and vibe of the restaurant is wonderful. All of the beautiful art work around the restaurant made everything feel cozy and comfy, yet sophisticated; the sugar skulls, flowers, warm tones, and natural fibers brought everything together. The food was also delicious and beautifully done. They had plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. We shared the Chilean salad, the eggplant meatballs, and the vegan paella, each better than the last (although my husband prefers the eggplant meatballs). We each also had a happy hour cocktail. The wait staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating and the chef came out to personally check on us and have a conversation, making the whole experience feel very special. Best of all, we felt that the whole experience was affordable and accessible! We plan on returning for the latin jazz night.

The steak frites, this was an elevated experience. Not only did they bring it out slices with a beautiful plating for a share between 2. Celebrated Valentine’s Day with another couple and it was such a great night. We started with ceviche, fried oysters, and duck quesadillas — crispy, savory, and absolutely delicious. For mains, we shared the seafood paella, steak, and branzino. The paella was rich and loaded with seafood, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the branzino was light and beautifully seasoned. We also enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Noir, which paired wonderfully with everything. Good food, great wine, and even better company — the perfect Valentine’s celebration.
